Happy Thanksgiving from Curitiba, Brazil everyone!

Here most people have no idea what Thanksgiving even is. I probably wouldn't be able to buy a turkey until next month (Turkey is a traditional Christmas staple here) - so we had our Thanksgiving dinner with friends last week.

I'll have internet on and off for the next 3 weeks and then probably won't have much access for about a month until mid-january...

Thanksgiving isn't anything in the UK, I think most people know what it is from movies but not necessarily when it is, it's slid right past me this year.

Much that I'm not a fan of the season, I've put Christmas lights out in the garden this year for the first time ever... everything feels so miserable that it felt like I needed to do something to cheer things up a bit.

Going to be working through Christmas though with reduced hours which I think is going to be rough... we're still going to be delivering the same number of food parcels (or more) but with around half of our volunteers away and with less time to schedule. :freak:

that's all I think christmas is, in general.. it's so dark and even with the unnecessary time change.. it's boring, bleak and bleh.

put up lights, make fun, find a reason to have fun.. :)

our turkey day in Canada is a month before the US one. We did a deep-fried turkey and I smoked a ham in my ugly drum smoker. I am remarking that is was remarkable

it’s been a pleasant xmas chawaznicka holidaze and i has the rumnog

i’ve been doing a james bond marathon with bae and we’ve gotten to moonraker so far which is excellent. do you haz fav james bond film or book?

also, i got a moog werkstatt for xmas that i put together and sounds good! an affordable moog!

I had a very john carpenter's new year's. The fog rolled in really bad, which looked really cool.. ha ha. I had a fire out in the back yard and I ended up having to put it out with a the hose.
