Wow......the whole town in lockdown due to riots. Two dead, two amputations and it's set to go on apparently. Hopefully the rain last night calmed them down.

Holed up in the hotel the entire weekend - lucky I have a few movies on my laptop to entertain me. I get internet about 10 minutes a day.......

Lae. The riots continued until Sunday night.......things were back to "normal" by Monday.

Scary stuff. They're only reporting 6 dead, but apparently it's more like 30 - the govt likes to hush the media.

Hotel was starting to run out of food by Sunday afternoon. Plenty of beer though.

I took some snaps - enjoy :-)

I eventually found another avery with the hornbill. The pigeon was just so boring I didn't take a photo of it.

Pigeon English is funny. Instead of the "Do not Disturb" sign on the door, it said "Yu ken no kam insait".
