Displaying larger images

Post by MetroSonus »

we all know that the forum tends to cut off larger images from time to time. Mainly, up until now it has only affected our haiguyz thread but it's been brought to my attention that in a legitimate thread, it kinda sucks for showing things.

I added some code to the board and it has the affect of shrinking the image to fit the post window. I think this for the most part is ok as it keeps the forum neat and not a pain to scroll through when someone posts those HUGE images.

Anyway, if for some reason that doesn't work for you, there's two things you can do. The first is to post the image using the regular image tags and then put a set of URL tags around it with the same URL, since it'll just link to the larger image anyway.

The second is to change your forum template. I have to use an official template as my outgoing template as it retains the security features as the add on ones don't. This is mainly to keep out spam bots, but once you're a member and logged in, it's ok to change it.

To do, you just need to go to your control panel and select the sub-sayiah or whatever theme from your board options tab as demonstrated in the window below. If you recall, this is our old forum template. I've tested it and the images are displayed at full size.

How about making the forum a bit wider? Is that possible? This forum is so narrow compared to KSS or GS...

Sir, you appear to be implying that my HaiGuyz! thread is not a legitimate thread. I take exception to this.

I'm just saying that not only did I not get the GLOBAL ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!,
I didn't realize that I was inside the GLOBAL ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!

Someone please explain how I got inside of the GLOBAL ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!,
and can it even be proved that I am indeed inside of a GLOBAL ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!

I'm actually skeptical about the very existence of this so-called GLOBAL ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!

don't worry about it, it just means that you can hear the announcement anywhere on teh globe... even OZ it seems.

No wonder you didn't get the memo, Indiana is not in the global federation (you're all rebels with your unchanging clocks and everything), besides, you have the dorky new style forumz.

-so anyway, heres the announcement:

What do you mean mean "even in OZ". Australia is the centre of the world, don't you know? Your maps - they're doing it wrong.

I am reasonable sure that it is Chicago that has been placed at the center. After EP and MS fall into the sea, you will find me standing high on a bluff enjoying year-round 75 degrees - very nice for the sport of hammocking
