I'm honored and humbled.

I like how he used square drive panel screws: those are great. I think a Canuck invented them.

I'm a bit mystified, though, because that's exactly how I sign my name.

Oh man, I lold at that!

It occurs to me that, unless you're a bazillionaire, you probably don't want to be known as Mr. MicroSoft.

Re: The Photography Thread

I'll be using my janky old Canon T3i with the kit lens. It zooms back to 18mm/f3.5. According to the internet, it will work OK if I expose for 20 secs with ~3200 ISO. That's short enough that I won't get star tails, so I shouldn't need GalactoTrak motodrive, although I'd like to try it someday. One ...

Re: The Photography Thread

I now have some kinfolks in Oklahoma. This summer I plan to mooch off their hospitality for a few days while I attempt to photograph the Milky Way. Supposedly OK has some of the most light forsaken hinterlands in the country, which makes it ideal for such activities. And as usual, great pix CR! And ...

Re: hai guyz!

That was entertaining. The song was very Gilbert & Sullivan.

Which reminds me; how is our friend Mr. The Suit?

He is the very model of a module making gentleman.

Oh I get it. The sticker says BASS AMPLIFIRE lol. Good catch PC!

Brings to mind the time when someone on HC (Pogo, I think it was) posted a for sale ad featuring a violion.

Re: hai guyz!

I didn't realise it at first, but there's a whole channel of silly pronunciations.

But I guess it could be Jesteronto, Hawaiian, Hinduscami,
Japeneese, Samoan, Sisillyan, Swaheehee, Germaniac,
Hehebrew, Maltease, Montenegrin, Navaho, or Tagalol.

Did I miss any?

Re: hai guyz!

Hm. Seems that colored ones were bant in Fla last year. They're all over here. I don't think it's the color that makes them so blindey. I think it's because they're so much more directional. It's fine when they're on a smooth road but when they hit bumps, that's when the searing beam bounces up &...

An astute observation. Now that you mention it, I believe it really is a lamentable lack of an indispensable feature.

But if it had one, at my current strummery skill level the identifier should surely display "sotto voce".

I am sorry to say that I don't get as much of it as I'd like these days. I do, however, pick up my acoustic geetar more than I used to. It helps to have a reasonably nice one instead of the cheapsters I've had in the past.
