A few days ago, the inveotor of the Atari ST computer, Jack Tramiel, passed away. His legacy to the music world the first home computer with integrated MIDI support. Thanks to its built-in MIDI, the Atari ST enjoyed success for running music-sequencer software and as a controller of musical instruments among amateurs and professionals alike, being used in concert by bands and performers such as Jean Michel Jarre, Madonna, Tangerine Dream, Fatboy Slim, and 1990s UK dance act 808 State, as well as naming German digital hardcore band Atari Teenage Riot.

To this day, I still see posts on forums from people still using the ST. What a legacy! Thanks Jack!
