at long last! I’ve been out of the office for a while on some well earned vacation time and here’s some gossip and a few reviews for you.
Looks like Casio of all people is getting into the Roland style doomsday count down. They’re calling it The Beginning Of A New Era. Some folks on the internet are speculating that it may be a Venom like competitor and even jumping off the deep end in hoping it’s a cheap analog. You can watch the clock and find out for yourself in a little more than 26 days at Casio.
There’s also some speculation that for NAMM 2012, if Godzilla doesn’t ruin the world first, that Clavia / Nord may be releasing a drum machine that’s built on technology first demonstrated in the Wave. Apparently, the speculation comes from what may be a teaser in the header on their website, found here.
Also the long awaited John Bowen Solaris is out along with Radikal Technologies’ Accelerator. You can read reviews for both in the January issue of Keyboard magazine: Solaris review & Accelerator review.
Have a great new year and we’ll see you on the flip side!
