M-Audio Venom – 499$

Sources on the inside confirm the details regarding the Venom as posted previously are true and accurate as well as the street price being set at 499$.

Lets review what you’re getting:

A 4 part synth with drums and programmable “phrase sequencers” that are MIDI synchable.

A VST editor that streams audio from the synth engine.

An on board audio interface with mic and line inputs.

I’ll be honest, based on specs and price alone, it’s all but impossible to get all that in one package from anything on the market. Although, like anything else, the engine is what’s going to sell it. Our man on the inside seems quite excited about though and hopefully we’ll have some video of this from NAMM 2011.

M-Audio Venom – 400$ Street?

Rumor has it in this post from Bernard (AKA SonicBern locally).

Any one care to confirm?

If it’s true, it’s a good bet that the Venom will an instant success.

M-Audio Venom – Details Emerge!

New details on the M-Audio Venom have emerged! It will retail for 599$, pitting it directly against the Roland’ Gaia and Novation’s UltraNova. Can it compete? Will it sound like a virus? Only time will tell, but I’m feeling a bit of excitement as this is a first for M-Audio and anything could be possible.

Launched at Namm 2011 and now reported by sites such as Music Radar and Gear Junkies, the new M-Audio synth may be one Venom that has no antidote. This could be the sound of 2011 and the hottest property not only being a very cool synth but also a Pro Tools audio interface compatible with Pro Tools M-Powered 8 and higher.
