Recently I had someone ask me how to setup the Launch Pad in Live. It’s a pretty straight forward and simple process. I was able to connect the Launch pad successfully using the USB cable in Windows 7 without using any drivers. If you have trouble installing the Launch Pad in Windows or Live, you may want to download the Novation drivers here.

Please note that the Launch Pad requires Live version 7 or higher.

Once Windows has detected the Launch Pad, the only thing left to do is open Live and make a few settings changes. Open Live and click options>preferences>MIDI synch to bring up the control panel. You want to make your options look like the ones I have selected in the picture below. When activated correctly, the Launch pad will light up.

    Im having real problems installing the drivers on to my computer, could you give me step by step instructions on how to do that, i have vista by the way.

    You should just follow the step by step prompts. You’ll need to download the Novation USB driver from the link below.
