In the video it shows the guy cutting a 4x4 with that 10 inch saw in one pass... are 10 inch saws not created equal?

And I see no love for the Casio  The reason I'm sort of considering it is because my older son is practicing and he is using my Fusion for that, which is a bit complicated for him too select sounds. The Casio would be more user-friendly and have all the accompaniments and things like that for him to just play along. But he's not interested enough I think, that he would really use it that much... he is 9 and still goes through phases when he doesn't want me to teach him anything, or he doesn't want to practice for weeks as playing with his brothers and the other kids in the neighborhood is so much more fun.

I have a 10" mitre saw. It's right useful.

It is sweet indeed. A full blown JP-8 copy can't be far off. I'd say in a couple of years, even if it's a module made by one of the smaller guys. Or maybe Dave Smith will build one. Or KROGG.

Yeah. Wouldn't it be wild if Roland did it though? But what would they call it? Like maybe, oh, I don't know...SATAN? Er I mean...SYSTEM 8??

Does he not know that he doesn't want them to be 100% pitch perfect?

Apparently not. Mine's an $80 Harbor Freight slide-o-matic with optional fold-up roller stand (very handy), adjustable yaw and roll, deluxe dust collector bag (it sux), super deluxe battery powered laser guidance gizmo (it sux too), a compass in the stock and a thing that tells time by the sun.

But it won't cut a 4" post all the way through.

I've nothing against Casio, especially for kids, but I've seen too many @ Goodwill for ten or twenty bux to consider paying retail.
