Anyone?

It only makes sense that they do that.

And it will probably be reasonably priced, too.

And ONLY FOUR VOICES!

And THREE OCTAVES!?! Sorry, but three octaves isn't even enough for a monosynth.

 indeed.

That's a good magazine though. I liked the Tom Oberheim article.

Who cares about mini keys? There's an oscilloscope.

I'll take minikeys but yeah a 6 or 8 voice version with at least 49 keys would have been nicer.

Still, for 499 I don't see how anyone can complain. Honestly. If you have more money, there's always the P6 :)

Yeah, but we're talking about a jump from 499 to 2799. That's a big leap. Where's the, say 1000-1500 option?

Guys. I think you are missing the silver lining here.

There's an oscilloscope.

Probably not (I hope my sarcasm was clear before lol).

That said, it could be slightly useful if the board can process external audio.

If it's really an O-scope, then I dunno... it's cool, but is it actually useful? I'm trying to figure out how it would be useful. Maybe that's just one function the display has and it does other stuff, too.

If you can use it to shape your waveforms, then it would lift my eyebrows. Otherwise, I also don't see the usefulness...

I'd find it mildly amusing. I'm guessing there will be a waveshaping knob, and it'd be nice to see what happens to the actual wave.

Ears, man. What good does looking at the waveshape do? I'd rather see a spectrum display, that's more useful.

Well, yes, ears. But I am also a VERY visual guy. I like to see things graphically represented.

Like, your face, for instance.

Yep. Many bands I'm sure are a bit cash strapped. Particularly those indie type bands with lots of electronic sounds, that maybe want something cheap and portable to noodle leads over their Ableton DAW backing track.

You know, the type who bought Microkorg in the past and... er, still buy Microkorg in the present. (As we know, Microkorg is wildly popular with cash strapped indie bands).

So is this an "analog Microkorg"? Perhaps. Roughly similar price, kind of a similar architecture (Microkorg's architecture is pretty basic). Initial pics seem to make it seem way more tweakable than the Microkorg's somewhat weird interface, at the very least.

If Korg got the sound right, I'm sure they will sell a lot. Not sure if I want due to mini keys / 4 voice only / etc. but hey.

I'm assuming the OLED is used for a few other things (patch number display, configuration menus)... and the oscilloscope is just some "bonus code" they threw in for "cool".
