Well, I meant to say, that 1) I knew you'd like the six better, and 2) I knew diamatron set all his presets to string sounds.

That's not what I'd do with it...

Also fly Bonso over there, I heard he's lonely.

Awwwww yuzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

My wife would be fine with it. The money part's a bit harder - I've just bought tickets for my next Japan trip so the credit card is in a bit of pain at the moment.

Wasn't the MKS-80 basically a JP6 in a rack?

Is that getting much use these days (the JD-990)?

It's one synth I really tried to like - it has lovely filters - but didn't gel with it. I liked the D-550 better to be honest, but that too went away for me to get the Fusion, which I am happy with sound-wise and interface-wise.

And did Diametron have an 8? I thought he only had the 6.

Just amazing snow (4meter base - what is that in feet?), fantastic people, great food, and cheaper than skiing in Australia (which sucks). Plus, same timezone so no jetlag.

Just bought tickets for $300 one way from Gold Coast to Tokyo.

I have few indulgences in life......this is one of them.

BRB. I think one of my kids just fell out of bed in his sleep.

4 meters is about 13 feet. 300$ US is enough roughly to fly to NY and back. It's a bone of contention in this country and for others, but we're so big we miss out on international experiences. It's funny that Americans can be judged as being so ignorant of the outside world, yet I have had several English friends (not PC) fail to understand that my state was as big as their country. There was an incident one time where someone had left someone a rude comment online and the IP was from out in the midwest. Since I was the only american they knew, they assumed it was me, despite knowing where I live.

That's amazing to me that you can fly from Oz to Japan and be in the same time zone and yet an entirely different culture. Just amazed really. 8 hours of traveling (by car) and you're still in my state. That's part of the reason I'd like to move or at least have some property north of here; just as a separate sort of home base. Maybe just enough for a vacation cabin or to be able to stop at and camp out on and then roam around the other states.

Yeah, California to everyone else is like all beaches / all desert / all farmland... depends on who you're talking to. "Oh you live in California, what's Los Angeles like?" Not everyone lives near LA, man!
