Does anyone want to talk Waldorf Pulse 2 to me?

I've just been listening to a few youtube demos and it's one of the nicer sounding Waldorf things i've heard for a long time.

Being totally out of the gear loop fora while though, I'm wondering... did they ever fix the issues they had with those rotary encoders? One of the things that turned me off of a lot of modern kit was issues with new gear after relatively short periods of time and those encoders seemed to be one of them.

Is it using actual analogue filters? I was looking on ebay but everything seems to be teh analogue now if you know what I mean.

The original Waldorf Pulse was a DCO based analog with a standard 4 pole (24db/oct) low pass type filter. It had a very nice sound. I had a Plus for a long time until I went through a "no fixed analog monophonics" phase of sorts. I think the biggest drawback was the matrix style programming interface, which could be slightly tedious for some things (the Pulse 2 at least has an LCD, the original Pulse only had alphanumeric LED type thingies).

I haven't heard much about the Pulse 2 (other than before recently, "it hasn't been released yet!"). It should be analog, not VA. Some of the new features seem nice.

I'm finding listening to synth demos on VSE really hard these days.

it's since they banned me from posting wanking smileys... I just don't feel like I can truly express my appreciation. :freak:

I would totally google the edward penis hands gif for you... if it wouldn't trip my work's word filter  Cause I imagine, that's how we all feel about synths.

I somehow found myself listening to Diva demos again before I realized, "hey stupid, you HAVE that already! Go play it!"

I did, a little. It's really nice, but man, it eats CPU like it's candy if you let it. I'm considering restricting myself to Diva for our Jam Weekend.

I had enough time to write this drone / riser / filter sweep in the matrix 12 v before the demo went kaputski.
