So, today, for $200.00 I got:

Fender Telecaster
Fender Stage Lead 100 watt amp
Amp stand
Hardshell guitar case
Boss Chorus Pedal

(guitar case not pictured)

In all, I'd say a pretty good haul for a lazy Saturday afternoon.

Awesum bargain! You saved way more than enough to slap a humbucker on it.

I've been craving a Tele for quite a while now.

I have always wanted one, too, but that idea just kinda stayed on the back burner for so long because there are other things I want more/first. BUT this deal came along and I couldn't say no. I REALLY want a John5 Signature Tele, but those are a bit pricey. Well, the version I would want is, anyway.

Sorry I didn't see your msg on Friday.

But you got a terrific deal on a terrific guitar.

I'm not recognizing the amp but I'd say it's gotta be an awesome match.

Now get a mic and some pedals and sell those POD thingies ;)

The PODs are going to stay, however, they sound great running through the amp. That particular amp is a Fender Stage and it's solid state (booo). I think it's from the 80's.. it's very old. Channel 1 is the clean channel, and it sounds very buttery. The other channel, which has distortion, sounds like utter crapola. I wouldn't have necessarily wanted it, but it came with the deal, so yea. I takies.

Yeah I looked it up :) It is from the 80s and the clean channel's supposed to be very good.

You can always sell it for 200 and tell people you got a free Tele :D (I think it's worth more like 150 though...)

Yea, seems like everywhere I looked had it at around the $150 mark. I'm ok with that, cuz like I said I don't really care either way about the amp.. it was just part of the deal. I would love to find out exactly what kind of tele I bought. lol. I still don't know. All I know is it was made in Mexico in the 2003-2004 production runs. I took off the pick guard (while I was cleaning it) and took out the pickup, and underneath it had an actual model number. I didn't bring it with me to work today because my brain was only half working when I left home this morning, so maybe I can find out more about it tonight. This particular one is extremely easy on the fingers, so I already like it a LOT. It sounds good, too. ;)

Oh, and I think the neck is made out of some non-standard guitar neck wood, though, or it's just a softer wood because the previous owner wore little indents in the neck in some spots. I tested it out though, before handing over the cash, and those little places don't make any difference in the sound so I figured that was ok. The guy that owned it previous was in a blues'ish type band, and played gospel on it at church.

hey mang, if you have time and want to, will you look on your 201 at that one factory super string patch (I forget the bank number) and tell me the settings to make the patch? Like how many unison voices, octave ect? That patch is what I judge most supersaws next to and I'd like to try and recreate is on something else and see how that does.

Thanks

So, I realized after sitting down at the 201 last night, that to get parameter values I will have to hook up the keyboard to the old 'puter and use the editor since there's really no way to tell otherwise. I will have plenty of time to do it tomorrow night... I haven't ever connected it to a computer before. Sorry for the delay.

No worries on my end. It's just having the time to sit down and actually do it.. install drivers, familiarize myself with the editor. Shouldn't take too long, but the ball and chain and I are supposed to go out for dinner and drinks with some coworkers tonight so unless we make it home early, it'll have to be tomorrow. =\
