New Year Resolutions

Postby christianrock » Mon Jan 04, 2016 3:12 pm

Anyone got any?

This year I *WILL* record at least 3 new songs.

Also, exercise more. Yeah, for sure.

I'm not doing resolutions because 1) I never actually do them, and 2) I'm awesome enough that not a whole lot needs changing.

I would *like* to make some resolutions, but I'm well aware by now that I can make as many as I want, and it won't matter. I'm instead going to try to adopt Nike's ad campaign: Just Do It.

I don't believe in it. I think every day of my life is equal to every other day.

I don't bother worrying about dates, if u want to do something with my precious time on earth, I do it. If I don't feel like it, I don't do it.

I am empowered with the responsibility for myself everyday.

Wow... And you say IM grouchy... man I love new years.

I am going to be more thankful for what I do have and mellow out. I'll be working more on music also as I have more time and space to do so. But generally, I want to relax and take it a day at a time.

In case you forgot, my point was that these decisions to improve your state of mind, well being, and health are available to you each day of your life. Why waste the opportunity by depending upon only one single day per year?

Yes they are available any day, so it shouldn't offend anyone if they're taken around New Year's, should they?

I suspect that it is more likely that I offend people by speaking out about these thoughts.

Well, I read you wrong I guess. I thought you meant it was stupid to do new year resolutions. I suppose it is. But my point is that it is better to have a day when you make some for sure, than to just go through life without looking back and taking inventory and seeing where you're short.

Also. lol @EP

I love new years because its the start of the cold season here... It's nice to be able to open the windows, do some spring cleaning and do some quiet contemplation in the post holiday rush.

The year goes by too fast for me and I just like this time of year in particular. Soon enough, it'll be school events, boy scouts, then summer camp... Family outings etc. And then right back into fall and the holidays again.

Yes there is everyday, but its also good to take a step back and look at it all. I think change is good in that way, routine can be its own rut.
