I'm afraid to ask for the lyrics...

Female vocal:

He has the dark hel-met, dark hel-met
And he is a bad man, yes he is!
Oh no! Oh no! Da da da da
Dark hel-met, da da da da
Dark hel-met is the bad bad man
Force choke is his thing, da da da da
Dark hel-met, da da da da
He has such a pompous theme

Male vocal:

Poop Poo Space Porn poop, poop pee poop space por-no big big space por-no (lol you get the idea)

Both:

Dark hel-met, force choke thing, truth mach-ine, pom-pouse theme

Carrie fisher snorted her payment! Poop!

Also, I worked more today on the March. EP, you couldn't have picked a harder cover for me! 1) Triplets. Almost every damn instrument in the whole orchestra - triplets. 2) There are horn and strings harmonies I'm having a hard time picking out. I'm considering it a personal challenge, because I'm normally very good at picking things up by ear. This song is putting me to the test. And lastly, 3) Triplets.

(I am attempting playing it all by hand, without using pre-existing midi tracks. Nothing against anyone who is, I'm just liking the challenge.)

I know, rite? I didn't consider how hard it was going to be!

also: 16th Triplets.   Ye gods. And every damn section is doing it at one point or another.

Ok. I've done all I can do on this lol! My head hurts. The horns could be a bit "fuller" but otherwise I'm pleased with how the Kurz handled it.

Originally, I contemplated synthesizing all the instruments on a VA. But quickly decided against that. Too much time involved. heh.

ANTE UP, EP. GAH.

Excellent, SI!

selfinflikted wrote:Triplets.
No kidding. Can anyone here even do them that fast on a p weighted keyboard?

Me too, but that thing's just, well, alien! It's really an amazing composition. If I gain nothing else from these goings on, I'm glad I scrutinized the song.

I did it on a synth action keybed, so I dunno if I could on weighted keys.

!! Hmm...

(Finds a supposed copy of the actual score on the net...)

Yikes, that's like taking the Mars Bringer of War concept (eight triplets on a 5/4 meter) and 1-uping it...

This is the sort of thing we lose in scores in this era of orchestral plugins, IMHO the orchestral plugins I've heard so far are pretty poor these days at quick sections (such as quick runs or, well, these sort of 16th triplets...)

(Nor do many of them they handle divisi 100% that well, which I see this score has quite a bit of, 4 part horn 3 part trumpet 2 parts for most of the rest etc. Though I've heard some of them like Cinebrass are handling auto-divisions better these days.)

GoogleDrive is a good sharer thingy. You can make your thingies private, public, or semi-sneakret by giving people the super-sneakret DL password thingy for each individual file. But no built-in player thingy that I know of...

Oh I forgot about Google Drive. I actually *do* have an account for that. Perhaps I will start using it here, instead of ye ole Dropbox.

Yes, but you played pianner in high school jazz band. They don't let just any old hacker do that, so you're still a swell chap.
