I say, we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

ETA: Also, snakes and lizards don't really bother me. It's the creepy crawlies that I hate. And things that slither that leave slime trails, too.

Huntsmans are huge, but harmless. Funnelwebs are the ones you have to look out for. And redbacks.

Since Bonso mentioned them, the Redback spiders (we call them Black Widows in Brazil) are more spawns of satan than the Bipaliums will ever dream of being.

The female killing the male as part of the sexual ritual has to take the top spot in satanic-ness nature.

I think the worst spider Indiana has is the Brown Recluse, or fiddleback. Teh Wyfe's GM tells of when she was a child, she was bitten by one and the resulting reaction/infection almost made some of her leg fall off. Fortunately she fully recovered, but not until after a few months of pain and serious consternation. I strongly suggest that none of you google for images of BR bite wounds.

Not a bug, but dangerous nonetheless: last month the local paper reported on (and published a pic of) a local motorist who struck and killed a cougar, which is also known as a mountain lion. I suspect that he escaped the care of some negligent dufus who thinks it cool to own exotic pets. I doubt the cat emigrated here by choice.

Don't worry, I am here. The critters haven't gotten me yet. They mostly come out at night... mostly.

There's a fairly large sanctuary here (and in several other cities across the country) that is dedicated to the following common phenomenon, among others:

A) Not so bright person with some cash gets baby exotic big cat (AW HOW CUUUUUUTE!!!)
B) Baby exotic big cat grows up and becomes BIG.
C) FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU....

Dumbasses abound.

No brown recluses here, but I see black widows every now and then... spawns of Satan to avoid.

Did you guys hear about that guy last year in Ohio who decided to commit suicide by freeing his numerous deadly pets and then walking into their midst. Of course, after dinnertime, the menagerie was free to roam the countryside until captured or destroyed my local authorities at great public danger and expense.

Having numerous deadly pets is lame. Everyone should have a dog. Or a kitten.
