It's actual, working code. A tiny, tiny piece of what I wallow in every day.

No, I haven't seen it. But now I feel that I must.

Metro, after much pain and anguish (why do me, drivers, and OS's never get along?), I have the info for the settings you asked for from the SH-201. There are a couple of string patches, and I suspect the one you want is called "Silky Strings" but I'll post both just to be sure. Screenshots for you parameterr-setting pleasure:

And the other, "Brite Strings"

And finally, a better studio pic to use however your sick desires dictate:

Cozy studio is cozy.

Nice Tele, dude :rawk:

Also, two things:

1. Your thread has 5 pages now and can be considered epic;

2. Also, now that you have the SH-201 editor working, go in here --> http://www.roland.com/SH-201/
Hundreds of pro quality Roland presets for the SH-201. While the fun is in programming it, it really opens your eyes to what it can do.
The "I want to break free" patch in particular brings a smile to any face.

Honestly, I kinda do feel epic today, so epic thread is fitting.

Also, yes. Had I had more time this weekend, I would've downloaded patch libraries. Actually, I'm looking forward to it, now that I've seen the editor. I can't wait to really get in there with some heavy editing.. there's all kinds of stuff in there you can't really do from the panel on the board itself, unless there are shortcut keys I don't know about (and, there probably are). Once again, thanks for talking me into this board. I really do love it. :)

You did, and as handy as that is, it still doesn't cover everything the editor does. I noticed, too, that there is a seperate librarian that I'll have to install for the patch libraries. Plus, I'm working on like, 4 different songs right now I'm trying to get finished and am behind as hell on, not to mention all the regular daily stuff I have to do... MAN. Soooo much to do, so little time!

ETA: I am putting off doing vocals for the stuff I'm working on till after Christmas. I'm hoping that Santa is bringing me a new mic. :D

I hear you. I thought I'd have a new song finished this weekend AND also some Vangelis-like doodlings on my DW8000 done, but neither was possible...

So much to do, so little tiem.

Alas, I had to stop because the DW8000 was misbehaving and adding some weird noise. The battery's gone, it seems.

So I turned to the EX-8000 and that battery is REALLY gone. None of the patches even work now.

I wish changing their batteries was as simple as newer synths.

thanks for the screen caps, I'll have to give it a try. I *think* the roland super saw is unique because each voice within the saw can be panned. I may just have to break down and by one of these for it though... I mean I really could put the saw strings and pads to work on my ambiance stuff and i've never really found a VST that was as satisfying.

and thanks for the photo! I'll get your post up today.

You really should just get one! Me getting mine has been one of the best gear purchases I've ever made.
