This was recently posted by my friend Jon Sonnenberg. He's an interesting dude. A little different.

I dunno. Had Autotune existed back then, and had she done the Milli-Vanilli / C&C Music Factory "swap the dopey middle aged guys / heavyset female singer with young hot model types" trick for the video, it might have ended up being a passable 1990s pop song. With a video no worse than Journey's "Separate Ways". And lyrics that actually are probably slightly better than Black Eyed Peas' "I Gotta Feeling".

That is pretty cool. Someone put a lot of work into this. And of course, the length of the video is 21:12...

This is pretty cool too, with the intro to the Peanuts musical...

Wat is this acoustic synthesizer?? It comes into frame at 0:38. Looks like a sheet metal marimba over bottles or jugs. Cool sound.

Thanks to a quirk of the Youtube comment, I have concluded that it's a balafon. You can see a better angle of it on their home page.

Not sure if it's the case here, but apparently the resonators traditionally are actually the shells of gourds called calabash. (Something to think about the next time you discard those useless pumpkin shells after Halloween. )

I just got the Space Lady Greatest Hits cd through.

Bit miffed it has 5 fewer tracks than the download version, also the whole thing seems to be taken from a home made tape from around 1990. Still enjoyable once you get over that. :thu:
