I like that Genesis song. I heard it in a Cadillac CTS commercial a few years ago and have loved it since ;)

Yeah, it does sound like something an ad agency would love to pluck for an ad. It's edgy! We'll be a hit with all the kids!

Listening to "Smells Like Children" by Marilyn Manson at work today. I haven't listened to this disc in a long time and have forgotten what a deliciously delectable morsel of auditory assault this album is. Do love it. Yes, I do.

Also, just listening to the new Alice in Chains. I guess you could say it rocks my socks.

Dude, seriously. If you liked 90's 'Chains at all, this album is worth getting. They sound as good as they ever have imo, even without Staley. The guy that replaced him can wail just as good.

That's good to hear. I only really liked their first album, and even that was just OK.

Of those bands, Soundgarden is the one that rocked me the most. Pearl jam was better than AiC too. Temple of the Dog was just too cool. I wasn't too much into Nirvana but I do like the first album as well.

Then of course, the mid-90s got a lot more interesting than the early 90s were. Garbage, Sarah McLachlan and Dave Matthews rocked my world (ahaha it's funny to put them in the same sentence like that, but it's the truth, what can I do?!!!) And I got severely into Lorena McKennitt. And progressive metal like Symphony X was at its peak, too. Good tiems.

I have a lot of disagreement with these statements, but to each their own. AiC > most all 90's grunge. Of course, that's just my taste. Everything is in a minor key, and their vocal harmonies just dredge up ALL THE FEELS.

I still love Garbage to this day. :)

Best album of the 90's?! Oh man, that's a tough one since there are so many good ones to choose from! I'll have to think about how much I'm going to disagree with yours! ;)

I love the original of this track, not sure what the story was here but it reminds me of the sort of thing you get when there's all the run up to Eurovision... it's all gone a bit 80s power pop here!

As much of contemporary rap fan as I'm not, I do LOVE early 90's Dre, Snoop, Eazy E, etc. I don't know if it's the nostalgia attached to some of those albums, or if it really is better rap music than now?

I would definitely include the Downward Spiral in my "top 5 albums of the 90's" list though. Good call.

I know I will be alone in this, but I'm going to say tentatively that "Antichrist Superstar" is the number 1 album of the 90's. I say that because, "if I had only one album to take with me to a deserted island" that would be the album.

Purity will be proud to know that "Rasputin" is on the Just Dance game for the Wii. I found that out the other night at a cook out I went to. lol.

I've been listening to a lot of punjabi dance lately. The take on beats is interesting and the rythms and melodys are very catchy and man, these guys can sing. They don't go to extremes like what we would think of for someone who could sing, but I think they're talented none the less.
