Maine is cold, but you get used to it after many years, and then you can't return to the heat cause it kills the bod. Xcept for the couple of weeks below 0 in Feb

I guess they didn't call it New England for nothing.

Between the winters being a bit milder generally, and living close to the centre of a large city (rather than on the outskirts) we don't tend to get the run of perhaps 2 or 3 weeks in winter where the temperature doesn't get above zero.

I really don't like the cold... at least with being up early and in the gym/pool for a hard session, I have central heating in my body for some of the day!

When I visited Old Blighty it was in April. The temps varied from the 40s to 50s, with frequent dismal drizzlies. In London, I was surprised to see many people sitting out in the chilly drizzle at all hours, lunching & dining alfresco. Tough breed, eh?

Now, millions of yanks will sit on uncomfortable metal benches in a slushstorm to watch football, but would be astounded if you invited them to join you for an outdoor pint at a comfy cafe if the temp was below 60. What's wrong with this picture?

Where I live it rarely gets below 10 in winter, and rarely gets above 30 in summer.

Celcius, of course.

OH Hai BW of D! Those temperatures sound very fine. Are you still thinking about moving to the upper hemisphere?

In Florida, today, the high is going to be a fairly pleasant 29-30.

(I like saying Florida's temperatures in Celsius. It makes us feel a lot frostier than we really are!)

Busiest in the world, baby.

Today was pretty chilly in the morning. But I love this weather... fall colors are due anytime now... which means I'll get my cameras out to take some nice pictures :)

29-30 celsius? That's too hot...
