Teh wyfe got me a box of ST: Teh Motion Pictures, One through Six.

The first movie featured this 'musical instrument':

The sad thing is, I'v known this since the movie came out. When I spoke of it to my people, they said "nerdy nerdy" to me.

The sadder thing is, I cannot dispute their ranklings.

Ordered and received a copy of the 1973 film "Manson" (yes, it's about the Charles "Manson Family"). I'm pretty sure this film doesn't qualify as "epic" but it was pretty interesting, so I'm mentioning it. Those people were clearly insane.

4/5 stars.

Two ex family members did the music for it and I remember it being really cool sounding.

The soundtrack was definitely LSD-induced hippie shenanigans. I can dig.

Paul Watkins and Brooks Poston are the two behind the music.

Also, why the hell would people make a record back in the day without tuning their guitars?

According to Russell Brand, Pacific Rim isn't a movie, rather something you do. Only to people you love very much.

Weird, I thought Pacific Rim must be out 'cos there are huge posters for it, it's unusual that they advertise films that aren't released.

Looking at the cinema listings though... perhaps I'll go and see Despicable Me 2 while I wait.

Ah, 12th July apparently.

Trailer looks kind of mind blowing. I loved Guatanamo del Toreador's direction on the Hellboy movies... looks good on this one too.

despicable me 2 was pretty good. entertaining, but a little low on plot, but it's ok, i enjoyed it. Cloudy with a chance of meatballs 2 looks dumb from the trailer. It seems like it relies on the same gag over and over without showing any of the plot or conflict.

I'm actually more pumped about neon evangelion: final

I watched the first movie. I thought it was pretty cool they way they merged old and new footage and and CGI. I have to say way back when, I loved the series. But now, I can't stand it after asuka comes in. they took a deep father son conflict story, pretty much dropped it and laid the foundation for SUPERHAPPYEXCITEDOMGENJOYREFRESHINGTIMEOKKAWAII screaming highschool girl anime. I'm not a fan of anime that tries to contrast darker undertones with fan service or radically different animation styles in different scenes and stuff. gives me a headache..

Saw "Monsters University" the other day. Meh. Visually, it's fantastic. Story-wise... it's disposable. I would rather Pixar had put their efforts into a new story rather than another sequel. If they're gonna insist on making sequels, then WHERE IS MY "INCREDIBLES" SEQUEL, PIXAR???? WHERE?????

yea that would be cool! I've been waiting for that one too. At least though, even a bad kids movie is a still usually a good movie.

Anyone else going to see The Conjuring this month? It's probably my most anticipated movie other than Insidious 2 this year.
