It's a musical that won the oscar for best movie. For about what, 2 minutes?

I hear they're going to attempt to cinimatize "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress".

Squee!

The working title is "Uprising".

Idiots.

After seeing what happened to Enders game and THHGTTG, I have no faith in the ability to turn a sci-fi book into a movie.

i went to geostorm it was meh in my opinion

the concept of a geostorm was somewhat original even if many aspects of the plot & plot devices were not.

it was either that or blade runner, i or it to a vote and lost 2 to 1

I've got tickets to see the new Thor. I've heard it's better than the previous Thor films, but maybe not quite the top of the MCU yet.

I heard Ragnarok is the funniest MCU flick yet. I think it will have to be extremely humorous to beat Spider-Man Homecoming, at which I lold frequently.

Teh Mrs is unabashedly infatuated with Thor. Stupid muscles & chiseled looks...

Current Star Wars The Last Jedi critic review on Rotten Tomatoes: 93% liked it! Or, a solid "thumbs up" from critics.
Current Star Wars The Last Jedi user review on Rotten Tomatoes: 56% liked it. So, um, a solid meh from fans.

Not sure what that means. I cannot tell if it's either genuinely flawed, in some of the modern Star Trek / Doctor Who senses (eg: throwing the audience rapid-fire SURPRISE REVEALS!! , unnecessary PLOT TWISTS!! and whiz-bang effects that, in the end, makes no logical sense). Or whether its just SW neckbeards that need to get a life.

The new Thor is indeed worth watching! One-liners and witty quips left and right!

They say thor has been the worst of the franchise, but my son and i have really enjoyed them all. :idk:

My son had a friend to stay over the other night and they watched rogue one. I just can't get into it.. No characters, no depth. I find it frustrating all that's driving SW is, as sound wave suggested, just hardcore SW fans going "yeah but it's more star wars". Is that a good thing? I"m more of a fan of older movies, because they do this thing called establishing. premises, characters, shots even.

I've actually heard people say "it'd be great to see the millennium faclon on screen again" and that's honestly been people's minimum requirement. I just do not get SW fans.,. I guess they're a different breed. Star trek fans in contrast have been critical, skeptical and vocal of the series during it's low spots and they've abandoned it during it's absences from screens.

However with SW, the internet in general seems to always fall back to a resting state of "yeah but star wars du huh'". No memes this week? How about an image implying that those fictional "friends on that death star" are the same as US soldiers who lost their lives in Vietnam?

F in hell.. even while lucas was running it into the ground, milking it for all it was worth, before, during and after the horrible prequels, people were still "F yeah! star wars!".

Someone explain it to me? :idk: Why SW fans cannot turn a critical eye towards themselves?

Anyway.. I've missed a lot of movies, they're so expensive now! Yikes. Yeah we're seeing Jedi, but even my son knows it won't be as good as the old ones  He even wanted to see murder on the orient express. Anyone seen that one?
