This one is also from this morning, perhaps a bit better composition, and I spent a bit more time on the post processing.

Thanks for the compliments :) I do know I have a lot more to learn. In the last few weeks most of the pictures I've taken were just junk, but that's because I didn't take them when the light was good. Your pictures are only as good as the light you have... luckily now it gets bright earlier and the light lasts until I left work, so I don't have to go out to take pictures during lunch time, when the light just plain sucks!

Indeed. They can get us whenever they want, huh?

where's downtown roswell? I used to live there and I don't remember a downtown.

I can see by the map it's more of a mainstreet. Loved the fall there, absolutely beautiful.

I took this one earlier this week and I was trying to be a little bit more artsy. So no subject dead center this time

Nice shots, Metro. :thu: Sightseeing, or was it a family visit, or what?

It seems like I'm becoming more of a nature shooter (other than pics of my family which is the reason I bought the camera in the first place).

And of my recent pictures, this one got more likes (6) than anything else... I guess people like a different perspective.

Any post processing here? Those colors are amazeballs.

Yeah I do post processing, but not as much as I used to do. They say as you gain more experience you don't go for the shock factor, you just try and get the colors to look natural, but also stand out. That's what I've been trying to do.

And I'm also learning that when you take a picture (time of the day, position of the sun or overcast) is the most important thing to how the colors come out. Now I don't take pictures when it's sunny, unless I have to. Or when it's used as an effect, as in the last pic. If I had gone outside and taken a picture, it would have sucked. But the contrast between the darkness inside and the sun outside made that pic.

Moar pics.

Walking around downtown Norcross neaby work, during my lunch time. New 50 dollar lens is turning out to be pretty decent :thu: Rokinon 24mm f2.8 (made by Tokina, a maker I really like). It has a normal-wide field of view, similar to an iPhone lens field of view.

Thank you :) I just went a bit overboard on that first one, trying to give it a "cross processed" look (something from the film days). Didn't even notice until after I uploaded it, that this turned the sky into pink  oh well.
