Sorry about your keyboard PC. That sucks. I got Battlefield 4 for Christmas and already played through the campaign. My younger brother and I like to play the multiplayer online. Also got a new warm and fuzzy houserobe (with our weather lately I'm thankful) and me also got a couple of expansion packs for EZ Drummer. Nao I canz make da beatz betterz.

Hope you get to feeling better EP. I'll help you blame it on Plinky. And where is CR?

No, we stayed in Atlanta this time. Got a car and a new roof this year so no monies left.

Which meant that I got two CDs for Xmas. One was actually a freebie that came with the other one. We are in saving mode :)

I gave her a bit more than that of course. But nothing extravagant.

I googled the S word:

"Urban Dictionary: Swardle
www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Swardle
A person that purposely stirs up discord in order to feel better about themselves. Can be used as a noun or a verb."

Huh.

I'm in dispute with the seller now, he's gone back on saying he'd refund me and has decided it works and it's a driver issue on my computer, so he's posted it back without asking me. After I paid 1/3 of what the damn thing cost to have it shipped back to him by a means where he couldn't say he didn't get it. Also it's been damaged in transit according to him. Also he's also trying to say that if it is faulty it's a warrenty issue rather than his problem.

Am debating whether I can be arsed to cycle down to the sorting office to pick it up or whether to keep pressing the point that he shipped it back without my consent.

I hate ebay clowns. :freak:

PC I don't know why you continue to bother with eBay, considering all the trouble you have.

I only buy cheap crap, so if it's dodgy it doesn't matter very much.

I don't do any big deals on there, just small things.

That and stick to new stuff with a decent BIN. Much less change of things turning bad.

I suppose I don't go on at the same length when a deal goes ok... just when I get a clown they really are a f*cking clown.

I never do auctions anymore......only BIN.

I bought 3 solar Christmas decorations on ebay in December........two of them broke after the first day.

Me too. There are just too many buyers willing to pay top dollar for used crap with no warranty. Either that, or too many sellers are using shill accounts to bid up the prices.

I do auctions. Lots of people don't do them anymore, so stuff can be had cheap :) That's how I got my interface real cheap.

Sometimes when I do find a reasonable BIN I'll do it, because of course it's much better than battling it out and losing in the end. The last lens I bought, I tried to get it from Ebay but after losing out on a couple of auctions, I just bought it brand new. It was on special, so I paid a bit more, but not unreasonably so considering I now have a warranty and absolutely no scratches whatsoever on the lens.

For photographic material, unless it's something real real cheap (like my 26 dollar Rikenon 50mm 1.7 which turned out to be a killer lens), I'll do a store instead of Ebay.

I honestly hate *selling* on eBay and avoid it as much as possible. The fees really add up once you add Paypal taking a cut. This is why I imagine sellers are often trying to get top value these days.

For high value electronics (like our music gear type stuff) it can be okay, but I honestly prefer the forum for sale places. Not only do you avoid the fees, communication is direct so if something screws up it's easy to message.

And let's not forget for every legit auction, there's 1000 from pawn shops and music shops. Takes the fun out of it really. I know you can filter them, by why do we have to? Seriously.

if you don't have a long game on ebay, you're going to have a bad time.

and yea, fees went way up. :freak:

If you can find something on Ebay that is listed by a store, you can go and find the store's wesite and in a lot of cases, they will sell the item for much less over the phone (as they won't be paying Paypal, Feebay fees, etc).
There's this lens that I kinda wanna buy now, it's listed on Ebay for like 299 but the store's website has it at 245.
