You didn't have a thread yet??

Who do we have to fire for that?

Plink is da man. As proficient with a hammer as he is with the pen and the keybed (I think - has he ever posted any of his noodlings for us to listen to?)

 Oh, I have two threads; this one and "Tale of teh Night Shift". Three, if you count the one with that pompous poppinjay Professor Poseur dude. I feel far from neglected.

As to noodlings, I have none recorded. Not everyone can come up with stuff that's worth recording, and I am my own harshest critic. I want to do it someday, but unfortunately it just can't be near the top of my 'must do' list in the near future.

CR, as you kids get older, you'll find you have much less time for yourself. At least, if you're the type of dad I think you are, which is a good one. :thu:

I posted a link somewhere here with lulzful clips of some of my 80s live band antics; I'll look for it later.

--------------------

In the meantime, since you pointedly ask, I will abase myself further and place myself completely at everyone's mercy by posting the only original song I've ever 'completed'. Rest assured, no criticism by anyone here can surpass my own chagrin when I listen to it. I submit it soley to show that:

1 - I can sort of play,
2 - I can sort of sing,
3 - I can sort of grasp the concept of ABABCA.

I played all instruments, composed and arranged it, & 'sang' lead. I had two buddies sing backup harmony. I used one of those 4 track cassete recorders and had to bounce tracks, and I only have a stereo cassette copy of it which is almost 30 years old, so the sound quality is terrible. I submit it here, rather than in "Jam with Tapes" because it doesn't deserve to be in that august collection. Maybe someday, when the pater familias business slows down, I can try to produce some better quality stuff with less puerile lyrics. The playing and structure, I don't think are too bad...

Here, then, most definitely for the lulz, is "The Last Time".

Just between us, though, if someone hits on my wife, she never takes it srsly, but I make a big fuss and vow to kill the bastard, but she knows I'm kidding and she thinks it's funny and cute, and then it can be 'frisky tiem'...

:thu: Cool. Clav & I are big time fanboys of RAH. Which doesn't excuse his absence.

Apparently Soundcrowd subscribes to the TANSTAAFL philosophy.
