the difference between a "d" and native instruments monark does not justify the $3500 price tag imho. i was using monark on a session last thurs and it sounds fantastic

part of 'chasing the dragon' for me was soft synth 10+ years ago really didn't cut it. i bought a voyager, super jupiter, etc

now in a blind test i can't tell the difference and have it mapped to my novation. spend 15 minutes making a template and save $3400 !! lol

Moog stuff sounds great but I've come to the conclusion it's not my sound... a lot of other stuff I'd sooner use.

As a guy that bought a model D for $50 in 2003 (obligatory brag) I have to say that there is no more powerful synth out there in term of shear strength. Yeah is sounds great and it's great to play and anyone that says differently doesn't know yet.

So, sure it's expensive and it only plays one note, but there are reasons this stuff is so popular.
