malekko is partnering with Roland to do their analog 500 series in eurocrack

the sound quality of diva likely rivals these units. I guess hands on control ? it's the same reason someone would purchase a nord or virus VA

fortunately they're not super expensive. my understanding is these are separate from the plug-out system ?

I think so. But I mean, I don't see the point in a VA type re-release of these synths. Why not make them analog.

I mean, unless their VA technology is SO GOOD now? I dunno. I guess I'll reserve judgment until I've heard them.

Analog is expense, fren, that's why. Even single-voice analogs aren't cheap.

Again, I will reserve judgment until hearing these boards. I've also heard keybeds are optional. Which is pleasing to my ears because I hate minikeys. Yes, I do.

Actually, I'm thinking that if I had that purpose-built Diva control surface (forgot where I saw that now), that I'd pretty much have all the analogness I could want. Diva's really quite good.

I dunno if they look long enough? I'm thinking tabletop, but rackable would be choice.

Seriously, if it's a real nice virtual analog with lots of knobs, I'm all for it.

But 4 voices???? WTF

One does not simply pad with four voices.

But they are reissues of digital synths. It makes sense.

This is a digital reissue of ... analog synths. There's a million other VAs out there, so I just... ???

I was just trying to be funny. Fail.

I think the point is the interface, aligned with a very good sounding (I'm assuming) VA.

But if making it digital, why only 4 voices? I can deal with a 4-voice analog because, phat and cost. But this? I am disappoint. Still, not sure if not want

The Volca Keys sells for about 160 and has 3 analog voices. Did Korg find out a way to do analog cheaper than others?

Roland's making a Volca setup look more attractive, in a way...

I think analog gets expensive when there's more features, like modulations and other params. My understanding is that the architecture of the Volca is very simple.

Also, I fail at recognizing humors today, i sowwy
