Bringing this thread back from the dead. Gosh, has it really been almost 4 years since we talked about this???
Anyway. Free/Cheap software. Is it normal that I have Maschine with some really nice drum sounds, yet I've been using free Hydrogen to come up with some ideas for songs? It works a lot like a hardware drum machine which is what I used for so many years, and it's one software where it is actually better/faster to use the software compared to the hardwares.
I'm only intending to use it for demos and there's not a lot of sounds available for it but out of what's out there I'm using what is called the Forzee Stereo Drums that a guy created with nice velocity switch and just a nice feel to it.
It also helps that while I'm waiting for something to run at work I can just open it up and make changes to songs I'm currently working on. The next step will be to just add some guitars and vocals and I'll have a demo. If I get to record it for real, keyboards will come in...
I might be getting back into music again, you guys

:Thumbs up:
