No, it's a PINK TOWEL!

And I didn't get the gazoong. That thing went for under $30, but right when the goodwill.com auction was ending and I was ready to swoop in with teh last minute snipey bid, I realized I forgot my password.

(But ya know, of all the things I don't have, that one bothers me but very little. If that makes any sense.)

Awesome PF, how much?

Oh, and do you know have all the components for a 122+A105?????

Cause, that'd be great.

P.S. congrats on the 1960s electric bubblemaker!

http://www.uaudio.com/store/reverbs/emt-140.html

it's a German company that made a mechanical plate reverb in 1957

it's a really common sound in Indy rock the last 5-10 years

I've had the emt 250 electronic reverb for a year+ it's one of my fav plug-ins for lush, obviously reverb sound (like mixing in loud)

tbh sometimes I buy uad plug-ins without even demoing or hearing them, knowing about the gear their modelling and having always wanted one

for example today I used the ua 610 tube pre (1960s version), followed by a rev a 1176, silver la2a and the eqp1a pultec. half of those I never demoed and just knew would sound fine and do exactly what their supposed to do :idk:

Everyone should have a set of bongos. And a tambourine.

Well the M1 and Wavestation are much like I remember from the demos years ago. I'll have to do my research, but I think it was the Wavestation that they added the resonant filters to. The M1 doesn't seem like it has them. I'm not 100% crazy about the filter, but it seems like a blast to program and the wavestation put through shimmer can pretty much hold it's own today.

Bongos delivered! But they're obviously in need of tuning, and I know nothing about tuning drums. Off to Youtube I go...

Reason for bongos: Teh Sister in Law insists that everyone get up and perform a talent on Christmas (yeah, she is one of Those People  ), and Teh Wife and I decided to do a team thing. We're gonna wear black turtlenecks and berets while I pound out a far out groove and she recites Green Eggs and Ham in her best beat poet style.

yeah. :smoke:

This is quite true. Bongos I got, but it's hard to find an inexpensive tambo that doesn't sound crappy. The half moon ones are easier to play.

are you serious clark?

So i guess a good tambo would have a light and fluffy air whilst a cheap one would sound like baking pans clanging together?

Personal preference, I suppose? If one desires the tin pan alloy sound, one mustn't judge.

One might also consider

And we mustn't forget the poor enslaved kittehs in the bongo mines of Borneo:
