Hey, Def D! Go buy this! If you don't have room for it, I'll take it off your hands...

Ooooh, they have one of these too:

But don't even think about it unless you're serious about playing.

LOL no. I think I had a Peavey wedge floor monitor once. And I had that haircut in '85.

But I've never heard anyone say bad things about that DPM-C8 controller. Supposedly the only thing that makes it less desirable than an A-80 is the lack of poly aftertouch. http://www.gearslutz.com/board/high-end/340704-88-note-controller-peavey-dpm-c8.html

Some specs:

• 88-note, wooden, weighted, velocity and channel pressure sensitive keyboard.
• 64 patches, eight fully variable zones per patch.
• Three assignable wheels, four assignable sliders and four assignable buttons.
• Serial port for mouse connection.
• MS-DOS compatible disk drive for patch and SysEx storage.
• Large LCD display.
• Four independent MIDI Outs, two merging MIDI Ins.
• Two CV pedal inputs, two dual footswitch inputs.

If it was local, I'd definitely bid a few hundred for it. I've been without a piano action controller for far too long now...

I somehow missed this thread first time around. A friend was just telling me about peavey keyboards a couple weeks ago. I didn't remember ever hearing of them before.

I actually once had a Peavey PC1600X MIDI controller "back in the day"! It was pretty well regarded, a solid piece of gear.

Their ROMplers I have only heard vague things about, they seem to have crashed and burned pretty quick in the marketplace. But I've heard the same about the DPM-C8. It seems like Peavey could've done good if they stuck to just controlling things.
