I wish there was a dedicated controller for Logic like the Yamaha N12 is for Cubase... it kinda makes me wanna go Cubase just because of it.

wow yea that is pretty cool.

Down the road I may get the novation SL zero ii. it's pretty much a dedicated Live controller minus the trigger pads.

I may see how i feel about the little behringer boxes I posted a while about too. those look kind of nifty.

All of that really does make you jealous of those giant, integrated, pro tools like surfaces eh?

As far as Logic controllers, do you know of anything?

WHY did I have to look at that Yamaha N12. Now I want it. Now I would actually take the Maschine budget out and get something like a Korg NanoPad2 so I could reallocate the funds to the N12 (999 instead of 699 for the MR816X) and Cubase (399 instead of 199 for Logic).

The guy with Maschine is actually interested in my Fusion, we might work something out.

And there's a guy with a 2010 iMac 24" that is interested in one of my guitars (plus I'd have to give some cash).

OMG THIS IS HAPPENING TOO FAST

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marge_on_the_Lam

Marge has a night out with her next door neighbor and Homer gets jealous so he starts calling his friends, Moe, Lenny etc. Obviously, Mr. burns gets a phone call and he says "a girl's night out eh? sounds delicous! WAIT WHO IS THIS!?!?!"

Homer looked visibly embarrassed as he hangs up the phone, a sight gag in which it is implied that Homer could see what they audience saw.

DUDE they have huge wikipedia articles on each episode

I don't know how I never saw that.

Anyway, sold my two USA made Ovations yesterday. Too bad these don't hold value as well as they should, but I have money for my interface now + Logic Pro. Tomorrow I sell the reel tape multitrack which will give me money for the monitors. Then if I get the iMac for my Strat guitar, and Maschine for the Fusion, I'll be all setup in record time.

The guy with the iMac lied about it... so it seems like that deal is off. And I haven't heard today from the Maschine guy.
All in all, still a pretty good week...

He said it was a 2010 iMac, but looking at the specs it's a 2007 (2.4Ghz duo core) that probably had memory (4Gb) and hard drive upgraded (1Tb). Oh and it's a 24inch iMac, which they didn't even make in 2010 anymore... I just don't trust the guy anymore.

As long as it amuses you guys I'll keep using this as my diary

Even though the iMac is a 2007 it might actually be a good deal. The only thing i'm worried is that it's DDR2 memory. It's got 4Gb. how bad is DDR2 compared to DDR3?? I MUST KNOW

DDR3 uses significantly less power, and can run much faster. It uses 1.5V per chip, which is 0.3V less than DDR2. Additionally, when it comes to its Data rate, DDR2 (depending on its chip) can run at 400-1066 MT/s (megatransfer per second). In regards to its peak transfer rate, it can transfer from 3200-8533 MB/s. DDR3, on the other hand, can run from 800-2133 MT/s and 6400-17066 MB/s. In regards to the I/O bus clock, DDR2 is only available between 200-800 MHz, whereas DDR3 supports from 400-1600 MHz. Essentially, DDR3, when there are improvements from DDR2, can double in processing power. The fact that DDR3 consumes less power in outperforming DDR2 is impressive.
