Imaginary epicness!

More or less, this is inspired by film music and classical music. There's no *actual* movie this is for, though, I just find describing it as "film music" as most fitting. Maybe you can make one up. ("In a world where, on the net, you are no longer in control of what you see, ONE THREAD will embark on a journey to save The Interwebz from the lack of lulz...")

I actually found out there *is* a relatively new genre called epic music. That fits nicely. I'll have to add that to the genre tags.

My friend and I were trying to understand what was going on with the variable filter in the OB-6, so I hooked it up to the scope. A half hour later we found out that this thing is crazy.

Dave Smith seems to do bonkers filters.

The one's on the P6 are also very aggresive when self oscillating - very much a sharp metalic howl.

I'm just going to point out that I am getting VERY close to finishing another (yes, another) cover song. But it's my best effort to date. Can't wait to put the finishing touches on it and get you guys' opinions :D

I can't wait. Trying to think who you might have covered?

Have something original in the pipeline, at this rate will probably finish it up while I'm off work over Christmas, as I often do lol.

Definitely my most transgessive work do date.

Also Dave Smith needs to make a synth called The Fermi Paradox. :thu:

I've long thought that a good discription for our group would be "sympatico".

Plus, it's a fun word to say.

Ive been redesigning and organizing my studio lately. I think it's nearly about time I do a tour vid or showcase. I'm really happy with how it's turning out. It's a very comfortable space again, and it lends itself to creativity on the fly.

So I've been in there a lot the last few days setting things up, and without meaning to, I've made a couple tracks. In case you want to hear them..

Let me know if they don't work.

Hey, I rearranged my studio this weekend too! I guess it's in the air. I had to get the lady next door to come over and tell me exactly where to put things because, apparently, I didn't get the interior design gene. But, she came over and helped. Then, I cleaned everything tip to toe and now it's a very appealing space plus functional. I do not has a pic, tho.

Nice tracks, Clavicle. I'm glad one of us is making musics!

I'm glad you picked up what I was putting down. And yes, I am a terrible gay. Ask anyone. It's why I LITERALLY don't have one single gay guy friend. Literally.

But I like being a terrible gay because it means not exhibiting ONE SINGLE stereotype. Well, aside from the fact that I LOVE the Golden Girls. I don't care what anyone says, that shit is funny as hell.

I don't know man.. I don't make any sense either.. on my bucket list is to impersonate Cher and sing "I believe in life after brunch" at least once..

Just kidding.. really.

But as a straight man, I'm offended because I have one gay friend and he isn't even gay enough to be that gay friend

Nah you're people man. That's all that matters. :snax:

You ever watch empty nest? Matlock, quincy? I think we were raised by our grandparents honestly..

Sorry man. I basically disappoint everyone. Including me.

Yes. Yes. and Yes. Between Netflix and Prime, MANY of those old shows are watchable. Plus, the ones that aren't we have on DVD. The 70's and 80's were good for tv. Or, at least having grown up on those shows, they are extremely fun to watch for nostalgic reasons.
