Not too bad for a first go. My 505 has a noisy output :( Using adobe premier is the biggest pain in the ass. I think I'm going to "borrow" vegas from work..

Just a few stand out patches played by me.

Very cool, thanks for the samples. I discovered I have a 60 day trial period of HalionSonic, so I'll probably be loading it and checking it out in the near future.
I'm not sure what limitations it has for the trial copy.

Nifty! So, worth it?

Long story short, the included audio is nothing great, aside from a few patches. What is worth it though is the VA engine and effects which are very hardware in quality. Get Halion 4 load samples, add effects, tweak, score.

for the long story long, read the front page

exactly :freak:

I need to find a way to import the RSS into here.. although i think it'll be a nightmare with patching and loop-holing the BBS software. Iv'e tried to keep it to a minimum around here because of it.

I wrote a couple patches last night. I guess when I get a few more I should do another demo

thanx for the kudos. I hope the practice is paying off :)

That synth engine is wonderful. Too bad it's lost and all can only be found in the Oasys PCI, the Z1 and a bit of it on the MS2000/MicroKorg.

ya a lot of it is carried over from the korg trinity like the effects, etc and apparently you get much of the rom from the triton. the va sounds are ok too

that's all fine and good but what really interests me is the physical modeling. I was listening to the harm visser sounds last night and that pretty much nails it

you guys prolly don't remember my critique of the newish Jupiter 80 saying sometimes you want parameters that morph a fairly 'real' sound into avant garde territory

there are a number of ways to do that including effects and processing but I've been wanting to mess with the synthesis behind it for quite some time so this will hopefully be my chance

I looked into win '98 but apparently there's old g4 macs that are still around for like $50-100 but I feel like I need a light table and future retro furniture to go along with it lol

in theory I can hook the oasys pci card to the apollo over adat I just need to add a midi interface.

also in theory I can use lemur or other midi software on the iPad to get real time control to the parameters but that will require an iPad midi interface as it would prolly be easier than wifi
