We all know how important work flow is in the studio and how having to click and work our way through menus can slow down the creative process when working in DAW environments. Here’s a tip that won’t break the bank and will alleviate the drain of repetitive keyboard clicks.

Take any cheap USB numerical keypad and create macro commands for your most used DAW commands and map them to a single button. Imagine, not having to reach over to your keyboard or right click anymore and just press one button instead of ctrl + c, ctrl + v! It’s that simple and can be a huge time saver! Not to mention luxury this time comes cheap. You can easily do the same thing using your computer’s standard keyboard with it’s own built in keypad too. Just research creating macros for Windows or Mac.
